Marketing and Audience Engagement
Because all of InFocus’ shows are uploaded to our Youtube channel, it has been relatively easy to find and analyze statistics regarding viewership. Using Youtube studio’s analytics, I’ve noticed a consistent trend in views among our shows over the past three years. Overall, I’m proud of how InFocus has been able to increase the average amount of views per video and maintain this new level of viewership. I believe this serves as a testament to the improvements we’ve made in our content since 2020.


Although InFocus has historically been one of Paly’s smaller publications, we’ve made increasing efforts to market ourselves to potential new staff members. One such effort has been visiting Palo Alto Unified School District middle schools to introduce incoming high schoolers to our publication. We have had many incredible journalists come to Paly from these schools and join InFocus in their first year. For the past few years, the Executive Producer team has given the following presentation at the district's middle schools near their course selection deadline.
